Hold Me Closer, Necromancer, Book Review

8041873What a title! I couldn’t just read that and leave it on the shelf. Elton John’s song would be much better with those words instead… but that’s just my opinion. The fun continued with each chapter titled with a twisted song lyric.

Sam is a college drop-out who works at a fast food restaurant with his long-time friend Ramon, Brooke, and newbie Frank. When a rogue potato hockey shot knocks the taillight out of a Mercedes Sam’s life changes forever.

McBride’s book is full of humor and a real-life feel combined with necromancy, fairies, werewolves, and harbingers.

It was wonderful, really. I finished the book in one sitting and I really hope that McBride writes a sequel.

***Update: I did a google and found the sequel is already published! Can’t wait to find it. 🙂
